This piece was commissioned by Ripley Entertainment Inc. for their museums. I really liked the way this turned out. It's the first piece I've done where all the type is not in capitals. I wanted the type to much Ripley's.

This historic photograph taken by Joe Rosenthal in 1945 depicts the raising of the American flag  on top of Mount Suribachi during the battle of Iwo Jima in WW2. There was a debate as to whether the image was staged because of its perfect compostion. The event of the flag raising was staged because this was the second flag that was raised, but the photograph was Not Staged. Here's the actual footage.

This is my favorite piece that I've done so far. I really wanted to do something different with lots of color and a Van Gogh painting was perfect. I had to create 42 brushes and it took me close to 40 hours to complete because of the details. It was at The National Gallery in Ottawa where I saw Van Gogh's iris series that I really appreciated his work and realized that he is truly a GENIUS.

This image of Nelson Mandela was my first image that I created with type. I used the words "My Hero" because I've always admired him and wanted to express my admiration through words. I highly recommend the movie Invictus if you've never seen it.

I am sorry but I had to take a stab at President Obama. It's a parody attempt on the famous "Hope" poster by Shepard Fairey leading up to the 2008 US presidential elections. Shepard Fairey was one of the artist in the documentary Exit Through The Gift Shop. The word "Hoped" is used to create this image and express the disappointment felt by many Americans.
